# Spontaneous Parametric Down Conversion (SPDC)

SPDC converts a single high-energy pump photon into a pair of lower-energy photons via a phase-matched nonlinear medium. This quantum process generates correlated or entangled photon pairs for applications in quantum optics, communication, and sensing.  
Leveraging precise poling and advanced dispersion engineering on our NanoPPLN platform, PINC delivers efficient, spectrally engineered SPDC sources with high brightness, stability, and precise wavelength control.
